Our work at Abingdon School this summer progresses – the super new Karndean floor in the servery has been laid and the old stainless steel kick plinths replaced with ultra
modern, sit-on black coving, perfectly complementing the black granite surface on the
counters. The kitchen team are over the moon with their new look, and we hope the pupils will be equally impressed when they return in September.
This school gets through a lot of washing up … in a 2 hour window they wash up for 1,000 people, so the new dishwasher we’re installing next week is eagerly anticipated. At almost 6 metres long this Meiko machine is the longest WilcoxBurchmore has ever installed and will
revolutionise the wash up procedure, saving up to 30% energy, PLUS we’re installing an IMC
Wastepro system which removes excess liquid from macerated food waste, making it much easier to dispose of – the catering staff were most excited about this!
It’s a delight to work with good people, and the Estates Manager here is exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful – thanks Nick!
