One of our industry associates, George Rodrigues from bartlett mitchell is doing a cycle ride from London to Paris on 20th July to raise money for Prostate Cancer. George says:
“The last London to Paris I completed was in 2010 – just over 300 miles in four days. I raised just over £3500 for Action Medical Research. This time I’m doing it for Prostrate Cancer, a worthwhile charity that I am thankful to for all the great work that they do.
In 2005 I was lucky that doctors found a tumour in my stomach before it was too late and it was removed without problem. Late last year my partners father ( Roy) was diagnosed with prostrate cancer. They caught it early and he’s doing very well after treatment.
The joy of keeping fit and raising money at the same time for research to happen is just wonderful, I can’t wait to get to the finish line. So till then it’s hard training, long distance bike rides in the saddle or double spin classes two or three times a week.”
