Grangewood School in Pinner ran a sponsored bike ride on Sunday, raising money for a ‘sensory garden’ there. It’s a local school for children with severe learning difficulties.
Ron a friend of ours was very touched by the work they do and volunteered to do the 26 mile ride, around the very hilly parts of Ruislip and Northwood. Not having ridden a bike for 2 years and with only 3 weeks until the bike ride, he had his work cut out – but he set off on Sunday and whilst not the fastest, he did really well to finish. Here he is proudly wearing his medal and celebrating with a pint from hosting sponsors JJ Moons of Ruislip Manor.
